Betty Cairncross. ( Bankstown Theatre Company )
Betty is known in the company as Queen Bet which was bestowed on her when made an appearence as Queen of Transylvania in My Fair Lady.
She was however reluctant to appear on stage. Her true talents were in the wardrobe department with Paulene Paull. Her talent lay in beautiful costumes and as a hairdresser. When not coiffing hair she is out the front selling programs and making cups of tea.
All four of Vince and Betty's children have appeared in productions for Bankstown. In reading out the citation for this award Di Crease said: "Family isn't always about the people in your life who are blood relations. It's about the people in your life who want you to be in theirs. It's about the people in your life who accept you for what you are, support you in the things you choose to do no matter, and are there for you. It's the people in your life who love you, respect you and you can depend on. Now that's family."
