Mary’s theatrical journey began at the Old Vic Theatre and the Drama Department of the University of Bristol, England.

In the early 1970s, she joined Hornsby Musical Society, later becoming an integral part of the Hornsby Gang Show throughout the 1980s.

Since 1983, Mary has worked across nearly every backstage discipline: stage management, set construction, special effects, hand props, lighting — and is known as one of the best “scroungers” of resources in the theatre world.
