In the Spotlight: Darryl Davis
A cornerstone of Gosford Musical Society (GMS) since the early 1980s, Darryl Davis has done it all — onstage, backstage, and behind the scenes. From ensemble cast member to principal, from production manager to director, Darryl’s contributions span the full spectrum of theatrical roles.
His impact isn’t limited to the stage. As a long-standing Board of Management member since 1998, including a year as President in 2013, and Vice President for most of that time, Darryl has been instrumental in the society’s continued growth and stability.
But perhaps his most enduring role is that of GMS Historian. During the pandemic lockdown of 2020, Darryl created an extraordinary online initiative — 54 days of GMS history, shared daily on Facebook. His research and storytelling kept the society’s spirit alive for members around the world during a time of isolation and uncertainty.
